If you enjoyed the Park City Luxury Home Tour and the Park City Historic Home Tour, then you won’t want to miss out on the last weekend of the 2012 Park City Showcase of Homes from September 1-3, 2012.

The showcase was started in 1994 by the Park city Area Home builders Association and highlights area architects and contractors through the display of recently crafted custom-built properties.

As this summer rolls on, the Park City real estate market has consistently been picking up steam! Although the national trend has shown home prices increase and sales slowly pickup, here in the Wasatch Mountains the luxury market has suddenly gotten red hot.

Last week alone, we saw four properties close – with prices ranging between $1,500,000 and $3,300,000.

In addition to the four high-end properties that sold, four other properties went under contract. Included were Montage and American Flag properties in Deer Valley, a Quarry Mountain Ranch estate (off of Old Ranch Road) and a home in the exclusive Promontory Golf Community.

Both the American Flag and Quarry Mountain Ranch homes offered more than 9,000 square feet of elegant living space

If you’ve been dreaming of purchasing Park City real estate nestled amongst pine and aspen trees in The Colony, this weekend’s Luxury Home Tour is a must!

For the past 21 years, the Park City Board of Realtors has hosted the tour as a fundraiser to help those in need. Although the tour focused primarily on Deer Valley in the 90’s, since that time it has focused on a different luxury community each year. Organizers take care to never showcase the same home twice.

This year, tour enthusiasts will meet at Canyons Resort in the Cabriolet Parking Lot. Shuttle busses will leave continuously between 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Because each tour has a limited number of seats, you’ll need to select a departure time when ordering tickets.

Tour de France veteran and 2011 Tour of Utah winner Levi Leipheimer will look to recapture last year’s victory while leading the Omega Pharma – Quick-Step (BEL) team in this year’s race.

Included in the 17 teams competing is Utah’s own Competitive Cyclist team (formerly
