You may or may not have heard, but Vail Resorts attempted to trademark the name "Park City" as they have renamed the newly combined Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons to "Park City". This was very disturbing to a lot of local residents, especially business owners that have "Park City" as part of their business name. 

To quote Dana Williams, former mayor and leader of the opposition group, "We welcomed Vail with open arms, but this trademark application, it just goes to far" I understand the mentality of a publicly traded company doing whatever they can to protect themselves, and I feel it was a step over the line as well. Vail has and will bring a lot of good things to Park City, and they will also make some changes that locals will not be happy

Its been a while since I have blogged, and I wanted to bring you up to speed on whats happening. The real estate market is still very solid, with listings that are properly priced selling quickly. There will always be that "pond" of listings that are not priced correctly, or just have some "unique" features to them that make them difficult to sell.  Coming off another record ski year, Park City continues to gain in popularity. That being said, I have some properties I am bringing to market that I would like to introduce you to.
