The Park City experience starts at Canyons Village, which is being transformed into a vibrant four-season center for recreation, celebration, and exploration. Ski straight to your pool deck's fire pits and hot tubs, then walk over to the vibrant restaurants, shops, and a après ski scene that are the pulse of the Canyons Village. Marketing high end luxury properties successfully requires the listing agent to not just put the property on the MLS, but to also have publications in strategic markets profile it as well. The Peninsula Magazine, which is a publication produced by Dreyfus Sotheby's of San Francisco, is a strong feeder market for Park City, especially for the high end ski properties. When marketing your property, it is important to make sure that we get maximum exposure amongst the right group of qualified buyers. I am proud to have partnered with Michael Dreyfus of Dreyfus Sotheby's in helping us increase exposure for this magnificent home. If you are ever in the market for property in the Silicon Valley area, please do not hesitate to contact Michael, and please tell him
In Park City, we are starting to see the end of Summer :( Every year, we get more and more visitors, and the popularity of our town continues to grow. One aspect I appreciate about our growth is the constant desire to acquire more land for conservation easements. Recently, the city has indicated interest in putting out a $25 Million bond to buy an area called Bonanza Flats. If you have ever ridden the McConkey's Chair at Park City, you have seen this beautiful piece of property. Originally owned by United Park City Mines, it was part of the Talisker acquisition years ago. Now bank owned, the 1400 acres parcel is just downhill from Guardsman Pass. Less developable land helps preserve the surrounding natural beauty, as well as the value of the existing
You may or may not have heard, but Vail Resorts attempted to trademark the name "Park City" as they have renamed the newly combined Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons to "Park City". This was very disturbing to a lot of local residents, especially business owners that have "Park City" as part of their business name.
To quote Dana Williams, former mayor and leader of the opposition group, "We welcomed Vail with open arms, but this trademark application, it just goes to far" I understand the mentality of a publicly traded company doing whatever they can to protect themselves, and I feel it was a step over the line as well. Vail has and will bring a lot of good things to Park City, and they will also make some changes that locals will not be happy
Its been a while since I have blogged, and I wanted to bring you up to speed on whats happening. The real estate market is still very solid, with listings that are properly priced selling quickly. There will always be that "pond" of listings that are not priced correctly, or just have some "unique" features to them that make them difficult to sell. Coming off another record ski year, Park City continues to gain in popularity. That being said, I have some properties I am bringing to market that I would like to introduce you to.
The first is a virtually new Promontory Cabin overlooking the 9th hole of the Dye Course. This Trapper Cabin is on a quiet cul-de-sac and is loaded with upgrades. Virtually new, and offered fully furnished. We have already had
Listed for $520,000, here is a 2 Bed, 3 Bath Condo at the Canyons Base that is an easy walk to the Cabriolet lift. As the Canyons Base continues to evolve, new construction properties are all going to be well North of 7 figures. At $401 a square foot, this property has as good, if not better ski access than properties listed at North of $750 a square foot. So you are investing almost half that amount for an outstanding location! This condo comes with its own garage for a car and/or toys. A little updating when you are ready will only insure your upside potential. Hidden Creek has its own Pool and Club House with hot tub.
