Summer is just around the corner. Park City's Park Silly Sunday market is in full swing. This weekend the stage is set for the famous Savor the Summit which is touted as Park City's Biggest Outdoor Dinner Party. We have a wonderful farmers market here in Park city and this year you can find them at their new location at the Silver King Resort in Park City. Opening day for the Park City Farmer's Market is June 13th and it's open every Wednesday from 12noon-5pm throughout the summer and even into early fall.

Since ownership of Deer Valley Resort changed hands a few months ago many have wondered what changes, if any, we would see at the Ski Magazine's #1 ski resort. Now introducing the Ikon pass, which is said to be a direct competition to Park City Mountain's Epic Pass. The Ikon pass will allow skiers to access 26 resorts throughout the U.S. and Canada. As a direct reflection of the Epic Pass's price point the Ikon Pass is now slated to be priced at $899 for the 2018-2019 ski season. This $899 Ikon Pass will allow for 7 days of skiing at Deer Valley Resort and 7 days of skiing at either Alta or Snowbird or a combo of those two resorts. Over the years, I have always toured clients around Park City to discuss future growth. One of the key areas are the two parking lots at the base of Park City Mountain Resort. There was an overall approval secured in the 1990's by the prior owners, and now that Vail owns the resort, they are searching for a developer to take on the project. I shattered my crystal ball a long time ago, so I do not know exactly whats coming, but would envision a base similar to Vail Village, or Beaver Creek. The parking lots will turn into underground or stacked parking garages, and there will be a nice mix of residential, hotel, retail, restaurants, and service businesses at the base. It will be interesting to see what unfolds in the future.
