While Westgate took home the 2013 Best of State Award for Ski Resorts, Drafts Sports Bar & Grill won both the 2013 Casual Dining Award for American Pub Food and Gourmet Burgers.
Drafts Sports Bar & Grill opened this past year with over 50 beers from around the world and 20 on tap. The restaurant also offers hand-crafted burgers and stone-hearth pizzas and is a fantastic choice after day of skiing or biking since it’s located directly across the Canyons central forum area from the Red Pine Gondola.
In the 2013 Best of State Fine Dining Category, Westgate’s Edge Steakhouse not only won the Steaks Award, but also topped the entire Dining Establishments Category, winning the 2013 Overall Dining Establishments Award and bronze statue.
Although it’s a new Park City Restaurant, Edge has quickly become a favorite with locals and tourists alike. This incredible new steakhouse offers a variety of specialty appetizers and creative entrees. The focus of the menu, however, rests on high-quality Prime Beef, domestic-raised Kobe Beef, wild-caught fresh fish and seafood.
Edge Steakhouse has created a world-class menu while committing to the Utah farming industry by including local and organically grown produce on the menu. The restaurant also offers a comprehensive wine list to compliment its Best of State menu.
The Best of State Awards are judged through a 100-point system which allots points in the following areas:
• 50 possible points for overall excellence, superiority and quality of a nominee’s products, services or performance.
• 30 possible points for creativity which nominees display to differentiate themselves from competition.
• 20 possible points to improve the quality of life in the nominee’s community and state – including their efforts to make the world a better place.
