"Out of town buyers are the norm in Park City. With the construction environment being so busy these days, buyers are typically more interested in a turn key product versus a home the needs to be updated. A construction project managed from afar is done all the time, but an owner will need to plan several trips to see the progress. Ten years ago, Park City homes were all about mountain design. Heavy wood, darker colors, etc. Now there has been a shift to more light colors, clean lines, and contemporary design and feel. If you look at just about every spec home,  or new condo/townhome development, their finishes are much more contemporary. That being said, value can be found in an older home if you have the time and patience to tackle a renovation project.
