The Best Things About Empire Pass Real Estate At Deer Valley

Posted by Scott Maizlish on Thursday, April 17th, 2014 at 11:37am.

Deer Valley Real Estate

Empire Pass is a paradise for Deer Valley Resort® skiers. Real estate in this slope-side Park City community is spread out over 3500 gorgeous acres, with 90% of it protected from further development as open space.

All of this open space is only 39 miles from the Salt Lake City International Airport, making for extremely easy year-round access.

The true ski-in / ski-out homes in Empire Pass are arguably the most desirable in Park City. This is due to the unique combination of mountain living, resort access, airport accessibility, and amenities that you’ll be hard-pressed to find anywhere else in the world.

Here are the best things about Empire Pass.

Skiing & Recreation
Skiing Deer Valley

In the winter, Empire Pass gives you direct access to some of the best north-facing ski terrain at Deer Valley. Some of my favorite lifts are right here. Mayflower, Flagstaff, and Northside chairs all carry you to protected snow, days after storms have passed. If you’re wondering, north-facing slopes get less sun and hold snow longer because of it.

When the snow melts, you’ll find yourself in a playground for mountain bikers, trail runners, hikers, and anyone who loves being in the mountains. Well-maintained singletrack trails crisscross the surrounding mountains and you’re just a few minutes away from the Wasatch epic Mid-Mountain Trail. This is the middle of the only Gold-Level, International Mountain Biking Association ride center in the world.

If you want more, the Guardsman’s Pass road will quickly take you down into neighboring Big Cottonwood canyon for more hiking and legendary rock climbing.

Historic Main Street Access
Park City Main Street

One minute, you’re tucked away in the mountains and the next you easily find yourself in the heart of Park City. Historic Main Street and all of its restaurants, shops and activity are a short drive or shuttle ride away from Empire Pass.

Whether you want a gourmet meal at Talisker on Main, Riverhorse, Grappa, or one of the many other fine restaurants, or a delicious burger and some local craft beers at No Name, Main Street has what you crave. There is always live music somewhere during the winter and experiencing Sundance is a must, especially when you can escape back to your home with ease.

In the summer, Main Street is even better. Enjoying a meal outside on one of the many rooftops or patios with views of the mountains and no crowds is a true luxury.

Montage Deer Valley®
Montage Deer Valley

Deer Valley’s Montage 5-Star resort is just down the road and you have access to their world-class spa, fitness center, indoor lap pool and yoga classes. Another gem at the Montage is Daly’s Pub & Rec. Daly’s is a gourmet pub that has entertainment for the whole family. Bowling lanes, billiards, video games, shuffleboard and plenty of flat-screen TVs to watch the big game ensure good times for everyone.

The Spa Montage provides classical spa therapies along with new and therapeutic approaches to make your ski season more rewarding. This transformative space offers everything from  a full-body stone massage to recover from days on the slopes and a 90-minute altitude therapy to stimulate respiration and relax.

The Montage even offers a children’s program for ages 5-12 that takes them on activities like snowshoeing adventures and mountainside scavenger hunts.

Talisker Club
Talisker Tower

Empire Pass is a Talisker Community and homeownership in the Tower Residence, Silver Strike Lodge, Larkspur Westside, Paintbrush, Arrowleaf, Christopher Homes, Nakoma or Flagstaff comes with the extraordinary amenities of the Talisker Club. The ski-in / ski-out Talisker Tower, access to the championship golf course at Tuhaye, Talisker Club’s exceptional cuisine,  a year-round pool and fitness center, and access to the Canyons Club at Canyons Resort are all a part of the deal.

The easiest to access from Empire Pass is the Talisker Tower. It sits at the center of the community and provides Talisker Club members with a cozy place for breakfast, lunch, and après ski entertainment. It’s at the bottom of the Silver Strike Express Lift so you can ski in and ski out, starting your day at the Tower with a continental breakfast or stopping by in the middle of the day to warm up.

Empire Pass Homes
Empire Pass Home Deer Valley

The homes in this community are striking. From this 3-bedroom, 2195 square foot condo at the Montage to this 5-bedroom, 5,538 square foot trailside home with ski prep room right at the base of the Northside Express chairlift, there are options to meet your needs.

Demand in the Deer Valley Resort® real estate market is really high right now, and Empire Pass is one of the most desirable communities.  New homes are under construction and the best single family homes and condominiums are going quickly.

The Park City real estate market is booming right now and is continuing to grow in popularity as investors move more of their money to real estate in 2014.
