Park City Ski Resorts
In some areas the phrase world-class skiing is little more than advertising hype. At The Canyons, it is simply a way of life during the winter months. With its 3,700 acres of widely-varied terrain, 163 trails, 17 lifts and 2 cutting-edge terrain parks, The Canyons is one of North America’s largest and most prestigious resorts.
After a day of skiing, residents can head to the Resort Village with its excellent variety of exquisite retail shops, one-of-a-kind restaurants, après ski entertainment and live music plus 4 excellent lodges. And it’s all just steps from the gondola.
More than 28 years ago The Deer Valley Resort caught the attention of the skiing world by being the first North American resort to provide the first-class service normally associated with a five-star hotel. Now with three five-star hotels, The Montage, Stein Erikson Lodge, and St. Regis, its luxurious amenities are unsurpassed. Amenities include ski valets, groomed-to-perfection slopes, on-site childcare and gourmet dining in three elegant day lodges.
But the proof, as they say, is in the pudding, and the readers of SKI magazine have rated Deer Valley Resort one of the top three ski resorts in North America for the past 9 years in a row, and that includes five #1 awards.
Park City Mountain Resort is perfect for those looking for a real family adventure. The skiing, snowboarding, tubing, sledding is second to none, in no small part, because of the 360 inches of snow the area averages each year. Recent upgrades include more new high-speed lifts with access to more than 2,000 acres of terrain, a new gladed run, and the complete renovation of the Mid-Mountain Lodge.
The Kids Signature 5 Program, designed specifically for children ages six to 14, caters to young skiers and snowboarders from first time to expert. And for the younger set, there is the Kids Signature 3 Program, designed especially for children ages three-and-a-half to five. Classes feature a child specialist instructor and blend ski instruction with additional activities in the Kids Mountain School. Each class has a maximum of three students per instructor.
With all this, it’s no wonder the resort is named among the top 10 family resorts in North America every year.
